Catch Deadlines Hidden in Email
A renewal date, a request due Friday, or a changed appointment arrives by email. I set up a way to turn the agreed types of messages into reminders you can review and act on.
Bring a deadline that was easy to miss
Reading an email doesn't put its due date in your calendar. I connect one mailbox to one calendar or task system, with the original message linked so you can see what the reminder came from.
Bring a message with a due date and another where that date was changed.
What I set up
- One mailbox connected to one calendar or task system
- Agreed categories of dates and deadlines to watch for
- Reminders linked to their original messages, with uncertain dates flagged for review
- Handling for changed or canceled dates without creating duplicate reminders
How I check it works
An agreed sample creates the correct reminders. A changed date updates the existing reminder, a cancellation is handled correctly, and an unclear date is flagged for you.
Where this setup ends
Additional mailboxes and historical backfills are separate work. Legal, tax, and other critical deadlines still need your confirmation; this setup doesn't replace that responsibility.
One setup, a price agreed before work starts
Small fixes are $350; full fixes are $750. In the free chat, I check the software you use, agree the rules and initial records, and tell you which size fits. If it won't fit either size, I quote it as a project.
I use your existing tools where they support the setup. Any required software or usage fees are identified separately before you agree.
I test the setup with you and leave a short guide to using it. If the agreed fix isn't working when I'm done, you get a full refund.
Getting dates out of my inbox
My email-processing workflow identifies bills, deadlines, and events and creates or updates the corresponding records in my planner. Each record links back to the source message so I can check the details.
I also built a separate sync that puts planner events and bill reminders into my calendar and reminders system. The planner keeps track of completed or canceled items, rather than leaving every reminder open indefinitely.
