Your tech person
For offices of 1 to 15 people who have nobody to call. I look after your office's tech every month, and you call me when something breaks.
Too small for an IT company, too busy to do it yourself
The computer slows down, a new hire needs an email account, someone forwards a message that looks like a scam, and there's nobody to ask. The IT companies want twenty desks before they'll talk to you. The repair shop down the road can fix a laptop, and that's about it.
So it falls to you, or to whoever on your team is "good with computers." I'll be that person instead.
Priced by the size of your office
| Office size | Monthly | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Just you | $150 | Someone to call, the monthly checklist, and up to 1 hour of requests |
| 2 to 5 people | $400 | The monthly checklist and up to 2 hours of requests |
| 6 to 15 people | $750 | The monthly checklist and up to 4 hours of requests |
Every month, on a checklist
Done every month, and never counted against your request time:
- Former staff's access shut off, and every account checked for logins nobody uses
- Email checked to confirm it's still passing spam checks and arriving
- Backups confirmed and software updates applied
- A test inquiry sent through your contact form and phone to confirm a person gets it
- Your Google Business Profile checked for wrong hours, phone, or details
- A short note to you of what I checked and anything that needs a decision
Your requests
New people set up. "Is this email a scam?" "Why won't this print?" And anything else you'd otherwise have nobody to call about.
The terms
- Requests past your monthly time are $125 an hour, billed in 15-minute increments
- A reply by the next business day; the same day, during business hours, for urgent problems like email that won't send or a suspected hack
- Unused time doesn't roll over
- Month-to-month, with 30 days' notice
Website hosting is separate
You don't have to move your site to get a tech person. If you want one person for both, add a hosting plan at its normal price. Sites hosted with me also get a monthly check of the accessibility basics: a list of issues, not a legal compliance guarantee.
Where I'll point you elsewhere
- Offices over 15 people, who need a full IT company
- Hardware repair; I'll tell you what to buy and where to take it
Before you book
Do I have to move my website to you?
No. Hosting is separate. Keep your site where it is, or add hosting with me if you want one person for both.
What counts as a request?
Anything you'd otherwise have nobody to call about: a new hire to set up, an email that looks like a scam, a printer that won't print, a login nobody can remember. The monthly checklist never counts against your request time.
What if I need more time one month?
Anything past your monthly request time is $125 an hour, billed in 15-minute increments. I tell you before I go over, not after.
Is there a contract?
Month-to-month, with 30 days' notice to stop. You're billed monthly, after the month's work is done.
Have someone to call when the computer breaks
Twenty minutes, by phone or at a coffee shop in Concord. I'll tell you which size fits your office.
