That's the test, and it's when I invoice. A third supervised run or more is $125 an hour, billed in 15-minute increments.
Who asks for this:
- Owners planning to sell or step back
- Anyone whose team calls them about everything
- Owners who know the business would stall if something happened to them tomorrow
Not ready yet if:
- There's nobody who would run it tomorrow. I'll ask you that in the chat, and if the answer is nobody, I'll tell you it's too early.

How much of my time does it take?
About an hour to record each process while you talk through it, a few minutes to read the write-up, and the two supervised runs, which your person does while you get on with your day.
What if my person can't run it after two supervised runs?
Then the write-up isn't good enough yet, and I fix it as part of the one round of changes. A third supervised run or more is $125 an hour.
Is this the same as writing SOPs?
Pretty much, except for the test at the end. It isn't done until someone else has run it once, start to finish, without calling you.
When do I pay?
Per process, when it passes the test. I invoice after someone else has run it without calling you.
