Talk Topics

What I speak about

Each talk is practical, conversational, and designed for a general small business audience. No technical background required on the part of attendees.

The Tools Trap

Why more software usually means more wasted time

Small businesses add tools one problem at a time. This talk explains how software accumulation quietly creates friction, where overlap is costing time and money, and how to build a simpler stack that your whole team actually uses consistently.

Five Inefficiencies Quietly Running Your Business

The patterns I see most often - and how to fix them

After working with small professional firms, the same five operational problems surface again and again: duplicate data entry, files buried in email, no onboarding process, overlapping tools, and repetitive manual tasks. Each one is solvable once you can see it.

What Large Companies Know About Efficiency That Small Businesses Don't

30 years of corporate IT applied to the small business reality

Large companies invest heavily in operational efficiency. Small businesses rarely have access to those insights. This talk shares the practical principles that translate from enterprise to small business - without the enterprise budget or complexity.

Format

What to expect

Talks are typically 20 to 40 minutes with time for questions. I'm comfortable with a range of formats - a formal presentation, a panel, or a more casual roundtable conversation. I'll work with your group's format and time constraints.

The content is practical and grounded in real examples. Attendees leave with specific things they can act on, not just general ideas about efficiency.

There is no sales pitch. I'm there to give your group something genuinely useful.

About the Speaker

Corey Klass

I spent 30 years in corporate IT architecting enterprise systems and streamlining how large organizations operate. In 2023, I left to bring that same practical knowledge to SF East Bay small businesses - helping solo professionals and small teams run more efficiently without adding complexity.

I'm a member of the Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce and have been working directly with local small business owners since founding Klass Concepts in 2023.

Plain-English explanations are a core part of how I work. I don't speak in technical jargon, and your attendees won't need a technical background to find the talk useful.
