Fix One Thing · WordPress

Is your WordPress site secure?

I check the plugins and settings that could let an attacker in. If your site is slow too, I measure what's slowing it down and explain what I'd fix first.

Security review: $300. Security and performance: $750.

Why Check

A site can look fine and still need attention

My websites receive hundreds to thousands of WordPress hack attempts every day. I don't even run WordPress. Automated attacks can try a site without checking which software it uses.

Every WordPress plugin you use is a potential way in for a hacker. An outdated or abandoned plugin can leave a weakness an attacker knows how to exploit.

A compromised site can send customers somewhere else or expose their information. A slow site can lose inquiries before anyone reaches your contact form.

Both are part of Fix One Thing. I'll confirm the scope with you before I start.

Security review

$300

Find common security gaps and know what to address first.

  • WordPress, theme, and plugin versions, support status, and known security issues
  • Unused plugins and old accounts that still have access
  • Login protections, including two-factor sign-in where available
  • Backup arrangements and evidence that a restore has been tested
  • Publicly exposed files and basic website security settings

You get a plain-English findings summary and an ordered list of recommended fixes.

  • Everything in the security review
  • Measured loading speed for representative pages, including mobile
  • Images, video, and scripts that make pages heavy

  • A ranked action list covering security and performance

You get measurements to compare against later, with the findings explained in plain English.

Before I Start

Know what you're agreeing to

The fixed price covers the review and findings. I'll agree any repair work with you separately before making changes. You can use the findings with your current developer, and you can keep your current hosting.

I'll arrange the access I need after we talk. Use the form for your website address and questions; please don't send passwords through it.

A review can identify common gaps. It can't promise that a website will never be hacked. If the site is already compromised, recovery needs its own agreed scope.
